Yeah, it the spoiler issue due to too many shows being in one place. I'm in the same boat, Boxed Set has been dysfunctional for me for a long time and it just kills me that everytime a show that I'm interested comes up it seems to get swallowed by Boxed Set.

I swear to god I remember back in the day when we were swearing that BS was not a catch-all sci fi thread. I may be crazy though.

This. I had the idea that it had a definite vibe and was not catch-all. The reason I avoided it was because I don't see Ho Yay, don't care about it, and don't really want to discuss it.
I don't think there's really any discussion of HoYay so much...ever. Like you, I don't care about and don't want to discuss it either. I think that "HoYay" thing is just part of the original, outdated slug.
**ahem** Plenty of HoYay with Who and Torchwood.
Aw, using Captain Jack is cheating.
Uh, Stargate: Atlantis? Very gay show.
Okay, okay. My point is that the fact that the slug mentions HoYay should not keep you out of the thread, as I have found it perfectly enjoyable regardless.
using Captain Jack is cheating.
But inevitable. Is it still HoYay when the characters are actually grabbing each other and smooching?
Sorry, the mad slasher will leave that now.

Doesn't that just make the slug accurate?
The conversation mentioned catch all SF before the thread was created. I Nillied it way back in the day and found that mention at least.
But BS isn't being used in the manner it was created for, so much any more.
What manner do you mean? Sci Fi and fantasy? It looks like that's what's happening to me, and I'm curious about why people aren't finding it so.
