I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

No, it's already there. I'm frustrated because to me it's a logical way to try to resolve the issue now and in the future, but no one else seems to think so. So, I'm a droppin' it now.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Gloom- I haven't had a chance to parse your suggestion properly, but ultimately, I think it is a good way to go. I've just been posting so much I was wanting to tell myself to STFU.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So much of this is based on subjectiveness, though. One of the last times an SPN thread discussion started, volume was mentioned as a reason, although Eureka had topped that volume when on the air, and no one suggested spinning it off.

I don't know if anyone who'd wanted a separate thread looked at the numbers and said "Oh, I guess I don't want that anymore." I suspect it's more complex than that.

You know me--always wanting a hard and bright line so we don't have to be subjective. I just don't think that the hard and bright line is going to make anyone that much less hurt or emotional.

But if it was a known factor going in, then it'd be more like, "Well, we've hit [number]% of posts for X show. Let's talk about a new thread." Instead of, "I'm sick of scrolling by X posts! Get out, get out, get out!"

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

hunh, I was excited to see posts...

But if you do care what happens, as in--something does, but don't care which of the choices happens, then what?

If I don't care what happens, I tend to stop reading the discussion. Very quickly thereafter, I stop remembering that some of the board is discussing taking some action on something I don't care about.

Hey, did we ever consense on reopening Book Club for Deathly Hallows (if it matters, I'ma for it)? What needs to be done to get it from consense to reality?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

That's the question I've been asking, Franken. :-)

If it is a hassle to re-open, let us know and we will use Literary.

I am happy to consense about reopening Book Club for HP7, as my copy is arriving Saturday and the internet is already landmined with spoilers.

Yes, please.

Also, the old B'crxy won't go away from my sidebar even when I try to unsubscribe. Am I doing something dumb, or is that just a coding thing that no one has had time to deal with yet?
