Mal: Cut it out. Job's not done until we're back on Serenity. Zoe: Sorry, sir. Didn't mean to enjoy the moment.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Laga, I thought that as a character moment for the Joker, it was pretty effectively chilling that he's burning a man to death and not even paying attention. But I'm not sure it was really intended that way - I suspect it might have been more a plot oversight like Batman never actually going back to the fundraiser to deal with the Joker after catching Rachel.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

re the plot oversight- I figured by the time Bats got back upstairs Joker's crew had split.

bonny, i had the same question about the garage scene that you did. it was very WTF?! for me. i don't think we were meant to think that he and the Batman wannabes were on opposing sides because one of the fake!Bats said they were just trying to help and i think i remember Crane agreeing with him.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Tiggy remembers it the way I remember it, which is why I found it confusing, but potentially interesting. I wonder if something there got cut for time, either during that scene, or later.

That was the sense I had too.

Completely random thing, unrelated to Batman.

I can't seem to find a management address for someone, to whom, I would like to write.

I'm looking for Angie Dickinson.

Any of the LAistas have any idea where I might find that info?

I know this sounds odd, but rather than a 'love your work' fan letter, I'd like to write and thank her for an appearance she made on the Tonight Show 30 years ago. She was the very first celebrity I ever heard speak out for the environment. She was a staunch advocate for water conservation...in a state that desperately needed that message, even back then.

I was just brushing my teeth and remembered how she weathered derision for telling people to turn the tap off while brushing your teeth and not flushing unless you need to.

Long before Al and Leo, she was out there for our own good. I just want to let her know that I remember her wisdom.

Always Anti-fascist!

Why was Superman Returns so boring? Can't explain it, but it was.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

My opinion is that it needed to be mentioned early on and then left alone until the reveal

I don't think that the Two-Face nickname itself provided any new information; it was just there as a setup. We knew that he wasn't very well liked by the other officers because, well, no one likes when Internal Affairs comes in and indicts your friends. And the thing is, he was RIGHT. There WERE a bunch of corrupt cops on the force, so I don't think he's not supposed to be Mr. Pureheart White Knight, entirely. I think we were pretty much supposed to see him as a good guy.

Oh, I agree we were supposed to see Harvey Dent as a good guy; just one who isn't as perfect as he may have been perceived.

okay, i just watched the opening scene again and Crane doesn't necessarily look as if he's helping the fake!Bats. he doesn't nod like i thought he had. he just says, "not my diagnosis" after Bats says he "doesn't need help". so i'm still completely stumped.
