Jayne (Husband): Oh, I think you might wanna reconsider that last part. See, I married me a powerful ugly creature. Mal (Wife): How can you say that? How can you shame me in front of new people? Jayne (Husband): If I could make you purtier, I would. Mal (Wife): You are not the man I met a year ago.

Always Anti-fascist!

I caught my mother telling the dog: "Betsy. You. Must Chill." the other day. I guess the influence thing is not so one-way anymore.

Hey. New board.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys! i bookmarked the first one, and I'll do some Youtube searches later.

I have seen Can't Hardly Wait many times, and that's a definite cute one. Yay angel! I think I may even have an ahemmed version of that burned to a DVD-R somewhere, leftover from my college days...

Now tagless for your comfort.

Earlier this evening, I had a killer headache, so I dosed myself with Excedrin and slept. Now, I'm awake watching a film with a very young Jude Law & Sadie Frost as nihilistic thieves who smash cars into shopping malls to steal stuff.

It's got Jason Isaacs, Sean Bean and Sean Pertwee.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ooh. I liked that one.

I just finished Resident Evil: Apocalypse. Milla Jovovich has a strange power over me. I'm not supposed to like her because she was a bitch to a brother of a friend, but I can't not watch her move. The other chick in the movie, though, was awful. No grace whatsoever, no litheness or power.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

SHOPPING! I haven't seen that one in years. Jonathan Pryce is in it too, I think.

It's got Jason Isaacs, Sean Bean and Sean Pertwee.

Wouldn't have recognized any of them except Bean, and I can't remember him in it.

Yup. He plays a cop.

Wouldn't have recognized any of them except Bean, and I can't remember him in it.

Jason Isaacs plays a small part as a fence, Sean Bean (in a a mullety hair cut) plays a bigger criminal and Sean Pertwee is Jude Law's antagonist, Tommy. He had much more chemistry with Sadie Frost when he was cutting her t-shirt with a straight razor.

I'm a huge Pertwee fan, though.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Isn't he Jon Pertwee (Doctor #3)'s son?

I just got caught up here, but another possible monologue suggestion is Quint's Indianapolis speech in Jaws.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

school-appropriate amazing movie monologues

Not from a movie, but how about Simon's speech about River in the second part of the Firefly pilot?
