Xander: I do have Spaghetti-os. Set 'em on top of the dryer and you're a fluff cycle away from lukewarm goodness. Riley: I, uh, had dryer-food for lunch.

Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

It looks like Ron Livingston will be playing Gomez in The Time Traveler's Wife.

Really? That could definitely work.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Chungking Express! In the Mood for Love!

Tony Leung OMFG. How is he so hot? And so sad? His sadness is integral to his hotness. I'm trying to remember any film of his in which he wasn't heartbroken in some way, and coming up blank.

I have 2046 at home from Netflix. Must find time to watch, oh yes.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Here's the (very short) Movieweb article.

Hey, anyone else have movie recs? I am left with nothing but time. Rewatch of old favorites will be welcomed too.

What kind of thing are you in the mood for?

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I liked Faye Wong in Chungking Express. She was hilarious and awesome.

(Actually I've liked Faye Wong in absolutely everything I've seen her in, and despite 2046 being completely incomprehensible, she was the most gorgeous robot in the history of robotics.)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Plus, Chungking Express has both Tony Leung and Takeshi Kaneshiro. You can't lose!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Don't you mean the future of robotics?

I've been watching stuff that doesn't involve a lot of brain, like Princess Diaries 2 and Little Black Book and Ultraviolet and Blade. I don't think I could handle heavy material, which is why I haven't rented "The Good German" or "Capote" or "Good Night and Good Luck," all of which I want to see.
