Angel: You know, I killed my actual dad. It was one of the first things I did when I became a vampire. Wesley: I hardly see how that's the same situation. Angel: Yeah. I didn't really think that one through.

In Plain Sight is going to be premiering tonight on USA, for anyone that was interested in it.

RE: In Plain Sight

Eh. I'm sorry to say the first episode didn't even make the Maybe pile.

Guessed the murderer, motive and secret boyfriend twist within seconds, and too much stuff made no sense like why her partner didn't alert her immediately when out-of-town wiseguy who had her witnesses in his cross-hairs escaped FBI custody. Instead he waits until she shows up around the office post-coitus, and mentions it matter-of-factly. Also, how OOTWG got into the witnesses home, and how that whole weird shootout went down after she heard his cell phone ringing in the house.

Those things aside, it just wasn't that interesting. The only thing I liked was Mary McCormack's character, but without good writing or plot it's just not enough.

RE: In Plain Sight

It was pretty bad. I might give it one more episode.

oh, dear, that's not good. Well, I always give new shows three eps. Two if it's really awful.

Well, I try, but, like with people, sometimes you just know right away. I'm not even sure I made it through the second episode of Sarah Connor Chronicles.

I'm like that too, and this show would normally have gotten a second shot from me. But I'm actually trying to watch less tv this summer with a thesis to pump out, so I'm being far less generous.

I think the only reason I am giving it more than one shot is because it's summer, and I'm bored. Most of the summer shows don't start until July, so I'll give this one a longer chance.

Art Crawl!!!

Wow. Haven't watched it yet - it's waiting on my tivo. Sounds like it's bad.

Well, my Sunday nights are pretty darn crowded so I guess I won't miss it.

It would have hurt less if they wouldn't have tried to shoehorn a slutty/unsympathetic/oblivious Mom and a wildchild/annoying/bitchy younger sister into the mix. I didn't need to know all about her family, too. (Why couldn't Mom go pick up Sis at the train station?)

I'm a fucking amazing catch!--Fiona Gallagher, Shameless(US)

why are women characters in non-traditional jobs always surrounded by shitty other women? Or dead moms, like Kay?
