"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I think the only reason I am giving it more than one shot is because it's summer, and I'm bored. Most of the summer shows don't start until July, so I'll give this one a longer chance.

Art Crawl!!!

Wow. Haven't watched it yet - it's waiting on my tivo. Sounds like it's bad.

Well, my Sunday nights are pretty darn crowded so I guess I won't miss it.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

It would have hurt less if they wouldn't have tried to shoehorn a slutty/unsympathetic/oblivious Mom and a wildchild/annoying/bitchy younger sister into the mix. I didn't need to know all about her family, too. (Why couldn't Mom go pick up Sis at the train station?)

I'm a fucking amazing catch!--Fiona Gallagher, Shameless(US)

why are women characters in non-traditional jobs always surrounded by shitty other women? Or dead moms, like Kay?

The bad mother and the loser sibling scenario seemed too much like copying "Burn Notice" to me.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I didn't make it through the show - and I love crime shows.

I'm giving this show a serious pass.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I had decided to pass on In Plain SIght because I didn't like the ads (and I figured if it was really great I would hear and USA would show ten million reruns so I'd be able to un-miss it pretty easily if necessary) and y'all have filled me with sweet sweet validation. Ahhhh. Feels good.

Well, in the "every cloud has a silver lining" school of thought, I will say that I did like her relationship with her partner, and their boss wasn't one of the sterotypical blowhard, screaming, CYA, political stereotypes.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I liked In Plain Sight better when it was Karen Sisco.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I had decided to pass on In Plain SIght because I didn't like the ads

I thought the ads were odd, in that the first round of ads was witness protection as wacky fun, then they changed to "she's the one you want to save you."
