I was fascinated by how Parker views the team, since she was doing the casting in her head. Eliot comes off pretty poorly comparatively speaking.

Oh, I didn't think Parker was imagining them in the roles. I thought that was just for the viewer. I mean, Nate didn't either, really. And Eliot was realistic, just not heroic.

I didn't know where the painting was going to be -- I was just trying to figure out why they didn't end up together.

And I LOVED the way Aldis played young Charlie -- his voice and manner were so different, and so perfect.

Danny GLover is younger than my father, but he keeps playing older and more decrepit. It freaks me out. For some reason he reminds me strongly of Daddy.

I loved the doomed wartime romance. AH played the young Charlie Lawson very well and he and BR looked fantastic in 1940s costume.

I really appreciated that Charlie wasn't looting art, exactly -- he took it from a dead soldier who had looted it. And the fact that it was never sold, but kept safe instead, made it a lot less icky than it could have been.

I also didn't blame Charlie (much) for thinking he could sell it to buy his future with Dorothy, because of who he was in those times. But I'm glad it worked out the way it did.

Oh, I'm so glad Breaking Bad is back. Can't wait to watch.
