"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

oh! so you really wanted to be that spoiled. I can go into detail if you want. I thought the setup and reveal was effective - more or less.

No thanks. I just wanted to know the result.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Supposedly they changed the perp in this series. But it isn't clear if that's the case. Does this mean you won't watch next season?

I'm definitely going to watch. I just wanted to know, especially since I now have to wait another year. I was wondering if the councilman was the murderer in the original series and the different ending this show was doing was this twist.

to answer your question directly (SPOILERY for others): there was a period of time during the original series where the councilman was arrested and looked kind of guilty (this was about halfway to 2/3rds of the way through the series). So if they are following the pacing, this is about the time for the arrest to happen.

Thanks, le nubian! One more question does the councilman get shot in the original?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

NO. Another change that I did not appreciate.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

the critical reaction to last night's season final is brutal and harsh. Sepinwall, Goodman, both seemed to hate it (and Cultural Learnings gave up on it 3 weeks ago).

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm pretty down on it. It's frustrating to have no resolution, not only to the mystery but to whether Linden will actually go to Sonoma. Just plot twist after plot twist doesn't add up to a good plot.
