Hey, that's Gina Torres on Suits. I might have to watch that.
In White Collar news, I gasped when the Brahe book disintegrated, so I'm gonna say that was a good episode.

I deeply dislike this season of White Collar so far. Neal's trying to profit off of Nazi looted art? At the end of S1, he was crying about leaving Peter, and now he's cheerfully planning his exit and he's not even running towards Kate, it's just money? Yet somehow he seems a little hurt that Peter doesn't trust him?
And I hated that they made the female agent such an idiot.
I'm just not buying Neal (or, to some extent, Mozzie) falling for the One Last Big Score idea. When has he ever wanted to retire to an island? Neal loves pulling a con as much as he loves the fruit of it. So I'm pretty much ignoring all that until it's resolved.
Peter's joy in puzzle solving is what made this ep for me. And Tycho Brahe is my favorite astronomer, so that didn't hurt.
The crux of the show for me is the relationship and Neal being a good person. Good people give back Nazi looted art. I'm having problems with that. I could deal with relationship tension as being part of the plot, but NSM the provenance of the booty.
Peter was very cute, and very relevant. And I liked the Masterson bros.
Yeah, it's a treat to see them playing brothers. I didn't recognize them at first, so adult!
I am thoroughly troubled by the Nazi looted art. The show is not addressing that at all which is leaving me entirely at a loss.

He's, at heart, a good person and also in it for the thrills and being that much smarter / better / more charming. This season is boggling me.
I didn't even really think Satchmo sold me this ep.
Peter being all smart and giddy was fun but, eh, did they have to make it Nazi art? There's not a lot of quirky fun places to go once you bring up Nazis. You have to deal with the NAZI thing or there will be some harsh judging.
They got Godwin's on my happy, fun tv.
And I hated that they made the female agent such an idiot.
In all fairness, the men are stupid a lot. Especially when there's a pretty girl involved.
Also, I don't think that it's "Nazi art", it's art that the Nazis stole from other people. In Neal's eyes, it's just stolen merchandise, it's not like the Nazi dishes from last season.

Much more accurate way of describing it. But that's worse. If it was art by Nazis it might be in bad taste, but whatever. It is stolen art though. And not whimsically stolen by Neil Caffrey, stolen by the Nazis. It's so much worse to me.
Most of them could never be returned to original owners by now, but so much of the art the Nazis looted is important. It needs to be in museums for the public to appreciate, because it's a whole piece of cultural history the Nazis stole.
I didn't even watch tonight, but I was surprised by the issue last week, and I don't like it much. All other valid reasons Neal is OOC aside, I really believed he had a respect for art beyond the money he could make.
I'm glad that they got to use Satchmo -- a dog in the plot is always cheery for me.
