Cable Drama: Still Waiting for the Cable Guy to Show Up with the Thread Name...
To be determined... (but it's definitely [NAFDA])
I was also thinking it was a dream, le nubian, and trying to figure out who was dreaming, but, no.
Peggy and Joan smoking and bitching was fantastic.
Also, Don telling Sally that Dick is his nickname sometimes was pretty sweet.
What a lot of craziness.
Rubicon, OTOH, I don't even know what to make of that. That was the season finale?
Not happy with either
Rubicon
or
Mad Men.
One didn't have enough closure and the other one had too much.
THAT was the Rubicon finale? Good grief. What a let down.
Mad Men - I was yelling at my teevee the last 15 minutes. "You've got to be kidding me!" Dr. Faye Miller got that right. LOVED Joan and Peggy. "I've Got You, Babe," in the background at the end -- same song that Bill Murray's character woke up each morning in Groundhog Day. Tie that with "...you only like beginnings," the startling and kind of creepy way Megan came in after the phone call to Faye, and I am really looking forward to the next season.

It's hard emotionally, but Dr. Faye dodged a bullet -- I don't think that she'd have gotten much happiness from Don in the end. As with Peggy, she's too knowledgeable for Dick to be really in love with. Friendship (with benefits) yes, but a gentler, kinder, more emotionally mature Betty (it's not coincidental that Tishshe speaks French) in Megan is what sealed the deal there.
Don's always been impulsive, but some of his impulses have led to his greatest successes.

Oh hell yes. I'm just disappointed that he broke up with her rather than the other way around.
OTOH, I'm also disappointed that Megan didn't burst out into hysterical laughter when Don proposed, so clearly this show is not all about fulfilling my fantasies for characters acting in their own goddamn self-interest.
I'm intrigued by Joan's decision to keep the baby - kudos to everyone who called that way back when! In retrospect, though, it makes total sense for her. She's been vocal about wanting to have kids, and about being concerned that she wouldn't be able to after 2 abortions. With all that in mind, I can see how keeping the baby even knowing it's Rogers would be a more appealing option for her.
How will she handle Dr. Rapey? As she pointed out to Roger, simple arithmetic will tell him its not his.
Joan has the willpower to hold off Roger, though. Even if he took out an full-page ad to proclaim the baby his, she'll stick to her story.
(Now I'm wishing that she hires Carla to be her baby's nanny while she continues at SCDP.)
Does Joan's husband seem to you like the kind of guy who can do simple arithmetic?
She can get the doctor on board to induce a little early I bet.

If he's away when the baby's born, I wouldn't put it past Joan to pull the actual date back to an earlier one so the numbers match up. This is Joan, we're talking about. The moment she decided to keep the baby, she figured out all the pertinent details.
