I remember the fight between Sonny Liston and Cassius Clay. I even remember a political cartoon with Clay doing his song and dance and ending with Liston's glove in his mouth.
My father was a boxing fan so I watched with him, to do something with him that nome of the other siblings wanted to do. After Clay won, I redid the cartoon with a crayon. I've been an Ali fan ever since.

I haven't watched the ep yet -- but I will note that I SO called that it would turn up this season!
The sound of Don throwing up is not something I wanted to hear.

They really went all out with it.
Damn! What an episode this is.
Wow, after all that male crudeness, that was a graceful way of telling us what happened.
I wonder if Peggy will be Don's new best friend.
that was a helluva episode. just excellent. I screamed several times and I stopped the episode for 10 minutes when Duck arrived because I needed to calm down over the possibility of what might occur.
Man, those two can say things to each other no one else can.
I think Peggy's been Don's best friend whether he's realized it or not, for a long time. Probably ever since he kept her deepest secret. He's trusted her with the parts of himself that Anna hasn't been personally privy to. He needs someone who will call him on his shit and that's why he swore he'd chase after her for the rest of his life, trying to hire her. He wasn't saying that he needed her to work for him. He was saying he needed her, period.
And did anyone notice the call back to the very first episode when the eager, inexperienced Peggy placed her hand over Don's in that awkward come on that he rebuffed by pulling away? Tonight, the positions were reversed, the situation completely different, and Peggy turned her hand in his and returned the gesture.
Nearly broke my heart.
