It's simple. I slap 'em around a bit, torture 'em, make their lives hell...Sure, the nice guys'll run away, but every now and then you'll find a prince like Spike who gets off on it.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Why would Joan want a baby with that ass?

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I'm loving the Lane and Don show!

So sad about Anna.

Maybe he's been getting better?

Also, who got her pregnant the other 2 times?

He did seem better this episode, but I'll never be able to stop thinkiing of him as an evil rapist.

“Not dead yet!”

Oh Don!

Oh Anna! (Who I happen to think actually knows.)

Oh Lane!

(And am I the only one who noticed that in the darkened room, Lane's one night paramour sort of bore a striking resemblance to Peggy?)

And I love Joan sitting at the head of the table and essentially calling the meeting to order.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Anybody else think Leverage was brilliant last night? Tom Skerrit as Nate's dad was great casting. I loved that they didn't shy away from making Jimmy a complete bastard, and that they didn't lay on any lovey filial reconciliation crap at the end. Nate didn't even blink at taking the chance that one of the families would shoot at the old man and not miss. It's easy to see now how Nate ended up exactly how he is. And just how gloriously fucked-up was Jimmy's last line? His son is more ruthless and cruel than he is, and he's proud of him! Sadly, I don't think Nate got a warm fuzzy feeling from finally making his dad proud. And then Sophie tells him he was kind. Ha! If "kind" is defined as "exiling your dad to the old country instead of shooting him in the face", yeah, Nate's a sweetie.

Also liked Eliot's little chuckle after Parker wondered if Nate was gonna be nice now. Oddly, I think Eliot "I'm Gonna Punch Somebody" Spencer is the least fucked-up of the whole crew.

I loved that and his "There's something wrong with you." to Parker when she was talking about the bank details.

I agree.

And I did love the episode. Tom Skerritt was an excellent choice for Jimmy.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I loved that and his "There's something wrong with you." to Parker when she was talking about the bank details.

I wanted someone to make a snarky comment about Eliot knowing the sounds of different types of guns.

Do people really like The Closer? I mean, I guess people do, since it's been on forever, but god, I hate Kyra Sedgwick's character.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

The Closer's not appointment television for me, but I'll watch it if I think of it when it's on. I don't mind Sedgwick's character, but I'm really there for the secondary ones, especially J.K. Simmons' Deputy Chief Pope. That man's voice makes my knees weak.

I fell asleep halfway through Leverage last night (allergy meds, not boredom), but I'm looking forward to watching the rest tonight.
