It's because you didn't have a strong father figure isn't it?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Do people really like The Closer? I mean, I guess people do, since it's been on forever, but god, I hate Kyra Sedgwick's character.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

The Closer's not appointment television for me, but I'll watch it if I think of it when it's on. I don't mind Sedgwick's character, but I'm really there for the secondary ones, especially J.K. Simmons' Deputy Chief Pope. That man's voice makes my knees weak.

I fell asleep halfway through Leverage last night (allergy meds, not boredom), but I'm looking forward to watching the rest tonight.

Yeah I enjoy the Closer. Not appointment but will pull it up off the free on-demand.

I like Sedgewick. I find her character annoying and often appalling, and occasionally charming. I find Sedgewick extremely charming which probably alters my view of the show.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

And am I the only one who noticed that in the darkened room, Lane's one night paramour sort of bore a striking resemblance to Peggy?

I thought so, too, but that might have been to create ambiguity in the promos.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I love how whole and relaxed Don is with Anna. And I am so sorry she won't be there for him (or he for her) any more.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

He really should have married her!

Nah, if he'd married her he'd have cheated on her.

You're right, of course. Damn Don!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Too funny the other prostitute saying she loved "House of the Rising Son" (a song about a woman ruined by prostitution).

That was a heartbreaking episode. Don's one safe haven gone. It's interesting how last season ended on such a note of triumph and renewal and the story so far has been of Don being down so low. It's smart because it lets them build to a more hopeful arc again. At least I hope so.

Who is Don Draper going to be now that he can't be Dick Whitman with Anna?

But good on him and Lane. Godzilla was such a genius choice.

Really just a tight focus on Don, Lane and Joan in this episode. No Betty, Peggy, Pete, Roger etc, except for a line or two.

Nice to see Joan having something good with Dr. Rapist. Who is not going to be just a two dimensional creep.

“Not dead yet!”

He really should have married her!

Anna would never have him. She knows him too damned well on all levels. Which is, perversely, why she's always been so perfect for him. It really is the most tragic of love stories.
