A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Ooh, the sound you hear is D having a nerdgasm for a reason he knows not why yet.

And....full-on knowledge-based nerdgasm achieved. My husband made high-pitched dolphin noises of fanboy glee. It was really cute. He picked up the cat and did a little dance, and dear god, if he ever reads this, I am never getting laid EVER AGAIN.

(but it was so cute.)

However I had a total fangirl moment when they were all "Big Bad Michael Weston" this week with the power walk towards the Spetznatz agent. I don't even think JD is hot, but that was smoking.

I'm in total agreement. About the not being a fan fan and the omg hotness this ep. Is it wrong for a person who has a degree in Soviet Dissident Literature going wibbly over JD speaking Russian? If so, I can't ever be right.

On Covert Affair I'm wondering mostly about the sight assist tech accuracy.

I wonder why she never carries a gun.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

A terrorist organization like the IRA would never use a numbers station—law enforcement would be able to triangulate their position! And a numbers station would almost certainly use a one-time pad, and hence uncrackable. You can't tell from that short a sequence of number whether or not they're random, and an encrypted code would be indistinguishable from a random sequence—that's the whole point of encryption! And, and, and...

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Tom, I know! I just closed my eyes and waited for the stupid to go away. "That's not a random sequence of numbers!" Buh? There were like 9 of them. You couldn't possibly know that!

Burn Notice has its fair share of eye-rolly moments, but Covert Affairs is ridiculous. Not that I'm stopping watching either one. If I wanted a documentary I'd be on the History Channel! ...wait, no.

Trust my rage

That clip of Tim DeKay and Matt Bomer is so cute! They look like they are having so much fun and they can both move!

JD's voice when he's speaking Russian is extra sexy and really not so much when he's speaking English. Therefore, Michael Weston should speak Russian more often.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Was he really speaking Russian? I mean, like he knew what he was saying, and not just sounding it out?

That Donovan, last seen as a brilliant detective in the short-lived USA Network series Touching Evil, took the time to carefully research Michael's back-story is no surprise. Donovan, after all, earned a master of fine arts degree from New York University. He's an intense perfectionist who reads The New York Times Arts section between scenes and who speaks four languages, including Russian.

"I picked Russian because I was a huge fan of (method actor proponent Konstantin) Stanislavsky and (Russian dramatist Anton) Chekhov," Donovan says. "I thought a great thing to do would be to do Chekhov in Russian. It was a lofty goal I never achieved."

It just didn't sound like Russian on Phonics. Turns out it wasn't. Hm.

Now finding JD more interesting than before.

Wonder what other languages he speaks? And could they be used in BN, Please?
