That clip of Tim DeKay and Matt Bomer is so cute! They look like they are having so much fun and they can both move!
Cable Drama: Still Waiting for the Cable Guy to Show Up with the Thread Name...
To be determined... (but it's definitely [NAFDA])
JD's voice when he's speaking Russian is extra sexy and really not so much when he's speaking English. Therefore, Michael Weston should speak Russian more often.
Was he really speaking Russian? I mean, like he knew what he was saying, and not just sounding it out?
That Donovan, last seen as a brilliant detective in the short-lived USA Network series Touching Evil, took the time to carefully research Michael's back-story is no surprise. Donovan, after all, earned a master of fine arts degree from New York University. He's an intense perfectionist who reads The New York Times Arts section between scenes and who speaks four languages, including Russian.
"I picked Russian because I was a huge fan of (method actor proponent Konstantin) Stanislavsky and (Russian dramatist Anton) Chekhov," Donovan says. "I thought a great thing to do would be to do Chekhov in Russian. It was a lofty goal I never achieved."
It just didn't sound like Russian on Phonics. Turns out it wasn't. Hm.
Now finding JD more interesting than before.
Wonder what other languages he speaks? And could they be used in BN, Please?
He's spoken other languages before, as I recall.
He does sound sexy as hell when speaking Russian. Maybe it's because he was being menacing. Cause that's hot too.
Bonny, can you link to the source for your quote, there?
Also, I miss Touching Evil. Both Donovan's version, because I think there was a lot more about Dave Creegan he had to show us, and I liked the character interaction and dynamic on the show, and the Robson Green version. Apparently the character and the premise really appeal to me.
Not that I don't like Burn Notice, I do (Fiona! Maxine!). But it's much more romp-y and less drama-y.
Beverly, it's an excerpt from an older article that I found on the usanetwork forums. Enjoy.
That's some scary hair.
Thanks, Bonny!
