Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I've missed a lot of episodes and even seasons of SA. I found the ending quite shocking.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Anyone heard positive or negative about Memphis Beat starting tonight? I'm hoping for "different show, but same quality" as Justified.

I've only seen the promos on TV, but my impression is that it may be suspiciously pale for being about officers working in a police force where more than 50% of the officers are black (and set in a city where that percentage is over 60% in general).

I totally am researching NLP, and am going to try it out on people.

Not to GET stuff, per se; just to SEE.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Scared me, Theresa. Memphis Beat starts tomorrow, Tuesday.

I jumped the gun. I'm very hopeful.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oh, god, the NLP that Sophie uses on Eliot at the start of The Reunion Job is just beautiful.

I loved the use of the NLP. They did something that Chuck does a lot, which is hide a plot point in a throwaway gag.

I enjoyed the episodes and loved seeing the characters again, but oh my God, I may be unduly sad, crushed, and/or annoyed that they appear to have ditched the "Let's go steal us an [X]" catchphrase. BRING IT BAAAAAACK.

What's NLP?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Neuro Linguistic Programming. I've had it pitched to me by a practitioner as a self-help tool, to remodel the brain and its habits, but it came across really culty and creepy. Also used, as in Leverage, in theory, as a way to manipulate people into doing things without them consciously realising it.

Ah, now it makes sense. Thanks!

You'll notice when Sophie was doing it, she'd use words like "sugar" and "squeeze" and associate them with gestures that she'd then use on Eliot which would then make him do that thing with her tea.

I love them together, in a non-shippy way. Of course, the S2 gag reel had him flipping his tongue at her, which was just freaky.

Still, they went further with the OT3 teasing.
