And don't you ever stand for that sort of thing. Someone ever tries to kill you, you try to kill 'em right back! ... You got the right same as anyone to live and try to kill people.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I think it's Boss and Former Boss/Partner's Son

Thanks, Megan. Makes sense.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, that's got to be it -- Roger is definitely the junior partner, so that explains "his" name coming first.

I knew something was up when they gave us the shot of Don's hands and the money as the elevator doors closed,

I totally missed that! Possibly because I was getting dip in the kitchen.

This is taking place in 1960, right? Too bad it would have to go four seasons before The Feminine Mystique comes out in 1963.

Sadly, I did not. But just imagine what those guys will think of Gladware!

Oh, and I definitely thought they were setting Don up to be Jewish, until they showed his family.

Art Crawl!!!

Mad Men: Over at TWOP a couple of people have brought up the intriguing idea that Roger realized that Don had set him up. I didn't get that at all from watching the episode and wonder if anyone here did? (I may re-watch on-demand tomorrow.)

My take was that it crossed Roger's mind, but he was too drunk and sick to decide for certain.

I don't think that it's so much that he thinks that Don set him up, that Don's enjoying his discomfort.

Huh. I didn't think he pinged at all. But maybe they're right. I mean, certainly Roger would be on his guard with Don a little bit. He knows he was in the wrong, he came and tried to apologize to him.
