Cable Drama: Still Waiting for the Cable Guy to Show Up with the Thread Name...
To be determined... (but it's definitely [NAFDA])
Back in 2001, Kristen and I attended the Viva Las Buffy Halloween party dressed as Lila and Lindsey. Since we don't particularly resemble the actors, we also wore "Angel's Bitch" signs around our necks for easy identification.
Flash forward to Chicago in 2004, where I attended an Angel convention and tried to get Stephanie Romanov and Christian Kane to pose wearing the signs for their photos with me. Christian punked out of appearing with it in the picture, but David Boreanaz was right there, cracked up over it, and proceeded to call CK his bitch in Q&A panels and autograph lines for the rest of the weekend.
SO MUCH BETTER than if he'd just held the sign up for a quick picture that only a few handfuls of people would have seen...
ETA: my best guess is that Christian would be about 5'7" flat-footed.
HAHAHA! I promise not to bring it up if I get to meet him.
Maybe.
my best guess is that Christian would be about 5'7" flat-footed.
Yeah, his "official" bio says he's 5'10". I'm nearly 5'8", so I won't wear heels. Oh, like I'd wear heels to a con, anyway.
My thrifty sister, to my utter surprise, told me I should just spend the money and go to the Leverage con. So. Convention ticket and plane ticket, acquired. Discount on the plane ticket makes me less reluctant to get a room at the pricey con hotel, but I missed the window; the hotel is entirely booked and I'm on a waitlist. But, there's a Hilton about six blocks away, where I would get Points for staying, so if the con hotel doesn't come through for me, I'll just suck it up and stay at the Hilton.
"I'll just suck it up and stay at the Hilton." I can't believe I just put those words together in that order.
Zen, you need to spin it right. It's, "I'll suck up the distance and go for the points."
I just rewatched SOA-Balm, which expires on Hulu tomorrow. This is the 4th or 5th time I've watched that episode and I just have to say, it is some beautifully made television. The performances are terrific, but the direction is just lyrical. The use of light, silence and music convey so much more than dialogue ever could.
Of course, I'll be glad to see the Son's return, but I would be okay if the show just stopped where it is. So complete, just as it is.
I watched the last season of the Shield out of fascination, and really enjoyed it, but was not touched by it nearly as deeply as the SOA.

Leverage:
HITG from
The Middleman.
Leverage: HITG from The Middleman.
Huh?
Anyway - looks like Nate's back on the booze without much question.
I swear, Kane's hair looks even MORE like Mary Tyler Moore this episode. I liked it beaded, though.
Huh?
Alexander Lundy is the Middleman. Well, at least he's the guy that hunted Echo, who I understood was the Middleman.
I love Kane's hair. Nobody touch it. I love all the Leverage boys. And, minus Tara (who I no longer hate), I love all the girls.
But I want more Parker/Hardison.
Oh, and I love Mark Shephard. He just does everything, and so well.
I want to know who's doing his blowouts because they look fabulous. And Maggie's dress is hideous.
