I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I know people love her from The Middleman, but the short dress and the sports bra were a little ridiculous.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

a love interest for Caffrey

Natalie Morales? I can't buy it, what with his epic quest to find his One True Love and save her from the evil pinky-ring-wearing man. I'm just seeing harmless flirting with all of the ladies. Or maybe I'm being naive.

Back to Dub Dub, she is oh so painfully skinny, and that first dress was god awful, and I'm gonna have to see her as this character more before I can shake the (wonderfully) cheesy vibe she's carrying over from The Middleman.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I could handle the short dress (though Beckett from Castle does it better) because it fit with the party. And in fact, she should have been the one wearing the long red couture dress instead of the model.

The sports bra was ridic.

The second dress she had was actually nice and flattered her better, but I did roll my eyes at the sports bra. The first dress I had two problems, one, it was ugly and unflattering, and two, she had it on hours before the party. I get that they decided to go with the mistaken-identity introduction, but it simply made no sense that she'd already be in undercover ensemble. Surely she'd be a bit ripe, with flat hair, sore feet, and dull makeup, by the time she actually needed all the fixins.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

January Jones will host SNL in 2 weeks (here is the whole lineup in case people still watch the show):

January Jones will host the show on Nov. 14, with the Black Eyed Peas doing the musical honors. A week later, on Nov. 21, (500) Days of Summer star Joseph Gordon-Levitt will stand center stage with the Dave Matthews Band, who return to the show after nearly a decade. As previously reported, pop star Taylor Swift will wear two hats as both host and musical guest next Saturday night, Nov. 7.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Finally watched last week's Mad Men. What a great episode! When it ended, DW said, "I think this might be one of the most feminist shows ever on TV." I tend to agree - we get so many interesting women's storylines in MM. We also think Joan is The One that Roger mentioned.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

So not what I thought when I first watched it!

They are dealing with the asassination in an interesting way.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Did anyone watch White Collar? I thought it was kinda fun. Not Leverage fun, but charming. And Matt Bomer--I never got into Chuck or Traveler, but damn that man is a charismatic looker.

I am totally with ita on this. It's fun and, wow, I could look at him happily for a while. Add in the competence and banter and I am a happy Cass. Not the best tv EVAH, but fun. I like fun.

Compassionately intolerant

I confess I don't watch Mad Men, but am pleased for all y'all who love it.

While I suppose I should have waited until I have photographic evidence, I had to pop in and tell you how your show is permeating the zeitgeist.

Yesterday, at the "Howloween", where the denizens of the dog-friendliest neighborhood in the country gather to parade their pups in some of the cleverest and cheesiest costumes, the 'best disguise' trophy was nommed by our pal Uma. She's a white/brindle English Bulldog with a massive underbite. She was decked out in a pink blouse, pink boufy wig and pink cat-eye glasses, as a 1950's secretary.

While Uma was completely put out and surly over the indignation, the rest of us were delighted.

As soon as I saw her, I thought of this thread! I'll post a link as soon as the event page goes up.
