And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I also really appreciated the line "My water never breaks." It's those teeny little details that this show does so well.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks, Jessica. I missed that reference.

Also, wrt to her water never breaking, there was an interesting contrast between Betty being very knowledgable about her body and her previous pregnancies and how she was being treated like a child by the medical staff.

This was a great episode about power and who has it.

And not much has changed in the last 40 years in that regard. God I hated giving birth.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I think I'll give my mother a medal and a hug the next time I see her.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Am I the only one kind of bored with this season? I feel like the writers are trying to be Profound with each episode and it is grating.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I felt let down by the season premiere, liked the last ep, felt letdown by this one ("borrowing" from Twin Peaks, Weiner?)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm not bored, exactly. I find each episode utterly fascinating while i'm watching it, but they don't stick with me afterwards the way they used to. There are an awful lot of threads, more than I can keep track of while they are offscreen, is part of my problem, I think.

I've been loving this season. It hasn't had as many big dramatic moments as last year did, but the minutae of domesticity are still drawing me in.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I like this season, but I didn't care for last night's episode too much.

There were a couple of scenes that I actually thought were extraneous and wish hadn't really been in there or were written different.

I prefer a bit more subtlety with my Mad Men.

Also, distinct lack of Joan has hurt my interest.
