Just reinforcing the old connection, I think. I had forgotten they had it, so the flashback gave me a chance to go "Oh, right, *that* briefcase"
Cable Drama: Still Waiting for the Cable Guy to Show Up with the Thread Name...
To be determined... (but it's definitely [NAFDA])
The briefcase was the one that was stuffed with cash that Nate gave him. The cash in the briefcase was stolen from the safety deposit boxes, so it looks like he was robbing from his own bank.
So the detail I want to know about is about that money. When they get the money "From where?" "Where do you think?" sort of exchange, does that mean that they went back into the bank with the master key? 'Cause I didn't think they were all nunned up in that flashback, were they? And if not, how did they get back in? There would be cameras, right?
It's a character point difference, because otherwise Parker (and Hardison, yes, but Parker's the one breathing the money fumes) just stole the money with no use for it at the time.

yes, they were nunned up during the flashback. And someone said that the vault is the only place where there aren't cameras.
Also, I thought this answers P-Cs question, I think.
@Matt: Did you really need to beat us over the head with the briefcase thing at the end, though?
You know, we're never sure. Testing indicates -- and I'm not kidding -- that about 30% of our audience never understands the con at all. Doesn't stop them from enjoying the show, but particularly for a "second pilot", better safe than sorry.
Okay, good. But does that mean they went back, then? Or is it unclear?
Nah, it's clear that they didn't go back -- it's all the same trip. They're nunned up, and the cleaning out of safety deposit boxes starts with the same line the previous fake-nun scene ended with, about "we could clean out every box here with that key".
(FTR, I am *highly* amused that everyone in the show but Eliot has played fake clergy. I fully expect him to be dressed as the pope when he finally takes the plunge.)
OOH! The priest outfit is no longer a spoiler, which means ita can post the Hardison as a priest picture on one of her sites, and I can turn it into an icon.
(Okay, so maybe I already have the icon, but now I can use it.)

Right. I can absolutely see her doing it just because she has the opportunity, but Hardison looked like he was about to talk her down when we left them the first time. I guess he decided it might come in handy? There wasn't much of a plan at that point, right?
I guess he decided it might come in handy?
I think they just stole it because they're thieves. They used it in the con because it has been pretty much established that $250,000 is chump change because they are all that good, (and from that very first con, where they got their "retirement" payout) and the fun & the reward is the con itself.
