I've seen honest faces before. They usually come attached to liars.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I knew ita was talking old school MI, as they were far more about the "con" than the movies.

I try to forget the first one especially, because Jim Phelps wouldn't DO THAT, GODAMMIT!!!!

I refuse to remember them because they were TERRIBLE. They made no sense, and they were not at all true to the series.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I decided to watch a bunch of old shows, M:I included, so that I could judge the movies better, and in the process have lost the urge to watch the movies (I faintly remember the first, didn't see any of the others). Fuck with Jim Phelps? HELL NO.

I've also watched a lot of Wild Wild West, and am similarly forgetting anything from the movie.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Leverage is adorable! Speaking as another sucker fan of heist movies and con men in general.

I was a little afraid they had used up all of the good music in the pilot, though.

i've been watching this great show called "To Catch a Thief". it stars Robert Wagner as this thief who gets paroled to a mysterious government agency called the SIA to steal for the government. it's set in the late 60s/early 70s, and he wears nehru jackets to formal events and whatnot.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

i've been watching this great show called "To Catch a Thief".

I used to watch that. His father was played by Fred Astaire.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

i've been watching this great show called "To Catch a Thief."

I LOVED that show when I was a kid! I had a whole fantasy where I would go along on capers, posing as Wagner's niece (this was pre-romantic crushes--which started very soon after for me). I just wanted to be an international agent with him. I figured I was not only good cover--I was small and could climb into tiny vaults and things. I would practice climbing and balancing and picking locks all the time.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I saw it on it's first run! Loved it and then even more when they brought in Fred!
