"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I am such a sucker for any and all capery thief/confidence artist/spy/rogue spy type shows

SA is me. I've seen foreign language Brazilian heist movies because I just like the fucking genre.

Exactly! And I will grant whole heartedly that Hustle set the bar very very high, but man, I rewatch the eight aired episodes of Eyes again and again just because. I will sit through the last two Ocean's Eleven movies with only minor heckling. (Okay, that's a lie.) I will refrain from pointing out plausability problems if it's pretty enough.

I am perhaps exactly the target market. (I may have wanted to be a thief and/or spy when I was a kid.)

I thought only five episodes aired. Though I did find seven more online (legally, though I can't remember at which website they were located, maybe MSN?).

Yes? I can't remember. I downloaded whatever episodes I could find. God, I loved that show.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am a caper/heist slut myself, but grew out of love with Hustle because I thought they were getting too tangled up trying to justify their "not stealing" mandate and just failing. S1 was good, though.

Leverage doesn't seem as similar to me as to many people. Makes me think of Mission Impossible, but with profit.

Does that make Tom Cruise the Underwear Gnome?

I am missing a pop culture reference.
