I really liked this episode. It was well directed by Jared Harris, and there were lots of great scenes. Pete in particular came off as well as he ever has without sacrificing his essential Pete-ness. "The King ordered it!"
"Don't sweetheart me!"
That scene with Peggy and Stan was excellent and felt.
I have no idea where they're going with the last three episodes though. I hope shit happens though. That's my wish. Decisive things happen and some people change.
That whole Campbell feud business was unexpectedly great.
Yes! That was completely unexpected and weird.
I was wondering whether I'd forgotten some callback! So that really was as astoundingly random as it seemed? Ha.

It was a callback! TO HISTORY! [link]
My grandmother thought one branch of her family were Campbells, or in the same clan? Something. Anyway, Mom's genealogical research has not found any Scots ancestry at all back to the 18th century, so probably not.
JOAN.
Goddammit, McCann is the worst.
Mad Men: I'm in the middle of the episode and it is both a good episode and painful to watch. The women back at square one, and Roger's secretary not feeling comfortable working there.
