I was struck by two things --

First, that Henry treated Betty and Sally the exact same way, as if they were both his daughters. When they were yelling at each other, he called them both "girls". Not sure where this side of Henry is coming from, is it because suddenly there's conflict?

Also, I got a real "Mommy Dearest" vibe when Bobby came into Sally's room and they talked.

I noticed that too and I wanted to punch him in the face. But he was generally facepunch-worthy the entire episode.

People had called him out for being patriarchal and controlling from the very beginning of that marriage - I don't think this is new at all, just more pronounced.

Reading the AVClub review of this episode they act like Ginsberg's breakdown was completely out of the blue.

But they'd established and alluded to the fact that he's had auditory hallucinations ("transmissions from mars" etc.) from the beginning.

I always thought he was going to develop schizophrenia.

I think that is one of the things that made him attractive to Betty in the beginning. She was looking for someone who could just take control, help her out of her marriage with Don, and take care of her, but I think Sally really struck a nerve this week and now she's starting to rethink things.

I always thought he was going to develop schizophrenia.

I didn't see it coming, but it makes perfect sense looking back. Poor Peggy lost one of her major allies at the office.

Lagertha's pretty awesome in S1, too. And looking at Travis Fimmel doesn't hurt, either, although his eyes cannot be that blue naturally, can they?

I'm also ridiculously fond of Athelstan.
