I don't know if anyone is watching the new Dallas on TNT. I'm about halfway through the episodes that aired over the winter season, and while the show does bring in a lot of history, it ignores a lot of stuff that could make for interesting drama. For instance, JR's second wife Calli shows up at his funeral, and there is no drama surrounding it. She took off with JR's illegitimate oldest child and JR's youngest (who she had just given birth to) vowing to keep that child away from JR, and she just shows up at a funeral and no fuss is made of it. Furthermore, nothing is said about either of those two other sons in JR's will.

I think that they just ignored a lot of the backstory for the funeral eps because it would take too long to explain to the new watchers. But, the old school watchers know and appreciate the drama.

I haven't liked any of the flashbacks this season. Waste of time afaic. But the ep as a whole was more fun that Mad Men has been in a while. As well as extremely weird.

The first thing I said about 5 minutes or so in was: "oh great, one of those wacky Tony Sopranos episodes. Let's hope Don isn't in a coma."
I get what they were doing, but I was pretty alienated from most of the episode, despite some cute aspects here and there. And I just don't know what to say about the fake maid/thief shit. I mean really.
