To be determined... (but it's definitely [NAFDA])

no, I don't think megan was lying. she seemed really upset in front of Don and in front of her neighbor friend. No reason to put on a face with both if she was making it up. No net benefit for her to make it up because she knew (at least last season) that Don wanted more kids presumably. But he seems ambivalent about it now.
I don't think she was faking being upset. I think she had an abortion and is feeling very guilty about it.
oh!
that never occurred to me.
I would think the writers would have let us in on that, no?
Well, she did say she felt guilty when she was talking to Don's mistress. And a lot of the episode seemed to be about women's choices. Don's stepmother didn't have any good choices after Don's father died. Trudy is choosing to stay in her marriage but under her own terms. Joan is still dealing with the choice she made to sleep with the Jaguar executive last season.
I thought she felt guilty because she didn't really want the kid (or was ambivalent). Not that she had made an active choice to terminate.

That is what she said, I'm just not sure if I believe it.
I guess I can see Megan lying to Don about a made-up miscarriage, but given the spontaneity of her conversation with Sylvia, it's clear that "something" happened. My money is on it being a real miscarriage, wouldn't 6 weeks be so early that most abortionists might want to wait?
I don't think Megan was lying. This show hasn't flinched about abortion before, so I think we'd know if that's what the ep was about.
6 weeks pregnant is 2 weeks past a missed period, which means Megan found out she was pregnant and then found out she wasn't anymore within a matter of days.
Mad Men Power Rankings: [link] Trudy is definitely too low.
