I'm trying to work out my Major Crime feels.
I'm not sad to see the back of Brenda--I didn't like her. But I'm not that in love with Sharon or Provenza either, and Provenza's war with Sharon, and Sharon's war with ...good god...show websites are consistently not helping me out. Or incompatible with Opera. I'm just trying to get character names right. Fine. IMDB it is.
Right--Raydor going up against Taylor--we already had him and Brenda jostling for supremacy. Provenza battling Sykes (god, she's beautiful) is also not fun.
I do get the feeling that we're getting closer to the crew, but I think it'd be a shame for Mary McDonnell to not get as high a profile as Kyra Sedgwick.
But most of all--most of all--I hate Rusty. In one and a half episodes, he hasn't said anything new. He's whiny and grating, and while his circumstances are obviously awful, he's doing a good job of making being abandoned and pushed into teenaged hooking seem like no nothing.
Yes, the whole Rusty thing is ridiculous and pointless. Is it supposed to humanize Raydor?
Breaking Bad--this GIF will represent Awkward! to me for some time hence:
Oh man, yeah.
It's such a striking image. Very juvenile. He almost looks as if he is sucking on a baby bottle. Jesse's stuck between these two powerful adults with a feud, and he's powerless.
It reminded me of an essay that I read about how a key quality of the Mr. White-Jesse relationship is that Mr. White (notice the honorific) is an abuser, and he keeps manipulating abusee Jesse. I thought it was in Jezebel but if it was, I can't find it.
Here it is!

Oh wow, it's an ongoing commentary tracking each ep, I didn't realize that.

Aaron Paul made the best faces in that scene.

I am glad my sister finally strongarmed me into watching this. I'm sad I messed up watching last season, but I think I will try and get that all cleared up after my other rewatches.
Suits was fun last night! I'm annoyed they're throwing another wrench into Mike/Rachel, but whatever. I can't get mad at a man sleeping with an old screw in the wake of a big trauma when he's made it clear he's looking to self medicate with semen expulsion.
Well, she can't really be upset, she was the one who said no, because she was worried that he just wanted to get laid. So, he got laid, why would she be upset? Other than creating drama.
Oh, she won't be the first Rachel to get upset about something like that, and I assume she won't be the last.
