Mal: Yeah, well, just be careful. We cheated Badger out of good money to buy that frippery, and you're supposed to make me look respectable. Kaylee: Yes, sir, Captain Tightpants.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Miles O'Brien and Keiko got married on the Enterprise. Data walked her down the eisle.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

and seemed to conclude that there were no Star Trek space weddings

I was just watching "Balance of Terror" from the original series and it opens with Kirk performing a wedding.

Of course, it's interrupted by Romulans. But still!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I didn't realize that Major Crimes was going to follow right on from the series finale of The Closer.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Sutton Foster certainly has improved at reading ASP’s dialog since the pilot episode.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Breaking Bad: Good lord, this has all happened in one year! Whoa.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Watching the latest White Collar, the thing that pulled me out of the fantasy was transferring $50 million from two peoples' bank accounts to Neal's bank account in milliseconds. I can't even transfer $300 from one of my own accounts to another in less than three days!

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I can transfer money between accounts instantly. One advantage of a small bank (Heritage in my case)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I can transfer money instantly between accounts at the same bank. It takes three days to transfer money between accounts at different banks, even though they are all mine. Even if all three of the people moving money in that episode had accounts at the same bank, I don't believe they can move $50 million dollars between different peoples' accounts instantly.

But it is a fantasy.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Watching the latest White Collar, the thing that pulled me out of the fantasy was transferring $50 million from two peoples' bank accounts to Neal's bank account in milliseconds.

Is that the first time you've seen that TV trope? It's used all the time on Leverage and I know I've seen it elsewhere as well.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I had expected that if it's 50 million, they work out a way for it to happen quickly.

It doesn't take me three days to transfer between banks, though. Bank Of America offers three transfer speeds to me, at the lowest rung of their accounts--same business day, next business day, three business days.

So, no, I don't find the White Collar premise too plausibility stretching, given that they probably have all sorts of perks on top of that I could never dream of.
