That means Feasting on Asphalt should be airing soon too, if AB's back and beardless.
It starts August 4 or 5, I think. (I miss the beard!)
The hottie substitute nutritional anthropologist was Deb's daughter, btw.
"See, this substitute thing can work out just fine!"
The whole show is adorable.
What the hell is wrong with her?
Seriously. I had to skip back because I thought I missed something that was worth crying about, but no.
Jen was PRESSURING her!!!!
Jen was straight-out threatening her, but the crying started well before that.
I just had a passing thought that Bourdain needs to guest on Iron Chef America, preferably against Flay. That would be fun, especially because Flay loses frequently.
Bourdain is a great writer, but ... he's not at the level of chefs they have on the show. Les Halles (where he no longer works) is largely identical to about two dozen other brasseries in town.
I don't see Bourdain as an Iron Chef kind of chef though. He's more of a food/restaurant life explorer.
ETA or what bon bon said.
Yahoo Preview of tonight's Top Chef - it is essentially the first two minutes of the quickfire.
Also, Bourdain doing anything with the Food Network at this point strikes me as HIGHLY unlikely.
