Ooh, that would be fun.
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Bourdain is a great writer, but ... he's not at the level of chefs they have on the show. Les Halles (where he no longer works) is largely identical to about two dozen other brasseries in town.
I don't see Bourdain as an Iron Chef kind of chef though. He's more of a food/restaurant life explorer.
ETA or what bon bon said.
Yahoo Preview of tonight's Top Chef - it is essentially the first two minutes of the quickfire.
Also, Bourdain doing anything with the Food Network at this point strikes me as HIGHLY unlikely.

oh yeah, it's not gonna happen.
OK, Bourdain might lose, but they'd be bleeping him forever, and he'd be snarky at Alton, and Flay would cower before someone with a bigger, better ego than his . . .
I say scratch the cooking part of the competition and just make it a Flay/Bourdain drinking game. Or maybe pit him against Morimoto and make them each try to cook something so weird the other one won't eat it.
Finally saw the most recent TNFNS, and so glad I knew ahead of time that JAG got kicked out in favor of Amy! I guess if it had been between Rory and JAG I just wouldn't have voted at all. They both annoy the crap out of me. Go Amy! Choose Amy!

I like!
Ooh, Next Iron Chef America!
