No studying? Damn! Next thing they'll tell me is I'll have to eat jelly doughnuts or sleep with a supermodel to get things done around here. I ask you, how much can one man give?

OK, Survivor is on fire tonight. Jason really believing he has the II? So funny. Eric naming the tribe some nonsense name. (Fo Shizzle?) Ha! Comedy gold.

Wow, that's some good night of reality TeeVee. Survivor was better than it has been in weeks. Jason + Eliza + stick = COMM. But lordy Jason and Ozzy both need to have the smug smacked out of them right the hell now.

And on AI, Michael Johns gets sent home to Lovey. I can't say I'm sad to see him go 'cause I really don't care about him at all. But the fact that Syesha (and KLC) live to sing another day kinda boggles the mind. Ah, well. Borrowed time. I still thik it's D'Archie's game to lose, but David C. (who was insufferable AGAIN tonight) could sneak in and take it. I'm just glad that Brooke and Jason C. are still in it. Babbling Brooke was adorable tonight! They should form the world's most beautiful neo-hippie singer/songwriter duo and take that show on the road.

Compassionately intolerant

Somebody needs to help me out here. I'm not an actual AI viewer. I see it on yt and streamed after the fact, so maybe I'm missing something. What is so terrible about David Cook?

He's definitely Mr. Rockstar!leatherpants, but I thought that was what the show was all about...breeding pop stars. He seems more comfortable in the role than the others. Does that make him less likable.

To be clear, I have zero investment...I'm not a fan so much...I'm just having trouble reconciling what I'm seeing with what I'm hearing around...here and elsewhere.

Is he being an ass in the press or something?

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

kat, I gotta thank you for making me snorfle with all your AI reviews. I still haven't seen this week's Tuesday show, but I think I entertained one of my coworkers considerably laughing outloud at your posts Wednesday morning.

I, too, am a reluctant Fergie fan. Most of what I hear of her stuff on the radio is fluff I feel anyone could do with a good recording studio. But then she has to go and pull a "Finally" out of her hat. Plus, she sang rocked on "Barracuda" last night. Damn. I hate having to change my mind when there's so many good reasons (leather pants that look good) to hate someone.

Still fast forwarding for the Annie Lennox.

information libertarian

I find David Cook cheesy and a poseur. But, same for Michael Johns (with added skeeve), and I find Brooke and Jason cheesy although sadly heartfelt, making me wish they were poseurs, and I HATE the blonde future porn star chick, and I think the irish chick has a nice voice but not enough rock star confidence, and I think David Archuleta is a nice kid but a one-trick pony without enough maturity to make it as an actual recording artist right now. So, I may not be the best person to ask?

Actually, of the people left (before today) I found Michael Johns the most interesting. He has a nice voice and I kept thinking he might turn into something worth rooting for. But I guess no chance of that now.

I swear, it all makes me long for the days of Clay Aiken.

What is so terrible about David Cook?

nothing that i see and no one's able to actually tell how they think he's being smug/pretentious/assworthy. i think he's fabulous and even if this Idol thing doesn't work out for him, i will totally follow him to whatever he does because i think he's extremely talented.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

the writing on his hand tuesday night was ridiculous. I wish he hadn't done that. I don't hate him, but that was ill-conceived.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Oh, Survivor. I can't deny they should have voted out Eliza -- she failed the social game on the most basic level (even though they never really showed us how annoying she is, except when she was talking to Parvati) and she couldn't win under any circumstances. But now I pretty much hate everyone. Holy shit is Jason the dimmest dimwit that ever dimmed! Wow!

what exactly is wrong with it, le nub? it's no different than someone like Chris Martin writing "Fair Trade" on his hand for a performance. i seriously don't get it.
