NBC is doing an American Top Gear.
NBC has ordered a pilot for an American version of the show, which will be shot in Los Angeles later this year. A formal announcement of the show, and possibly its hosts, is expected at next week's North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
Hmmm. I just can't imagine them getting the host chemistry right and putting the amount of money into the show that BBC does.

It's being produced by BBC Worldwide Americas - NBC's just the distributor.
Without Jeremy Clarkson, there IS no Top Gear.
PR: WTF!!!!! Who is Ricky sleeping with? How is he still in and Kit is out?!
Two things about Project Runway: Sweet P is totally that hamster whipping around in that one clip. Also, Christian never ceases to crack me up with his inflated self-worth, "Well, because I'm young, I don't have
that
much press,
yet."
Um, OK, noodle. You have any press at all?
Yeah, I don't get it about Ricky, either.
I'm actually outraged! Yeah, the thing Kit did wasn't good this time, but Ricky's stuff always sucks!
Victorya and Jillian's rocked!
