I was furious for a while, in a way I wouldn't have been if either of them had won, but then I realized I don't actually care and Manila is the winner of my heart anyway.
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
A series that recently started on PBS is good - Museum Secrets. The first, on the Louvre, spent a good deal of time on when the Mona Lisa was stolen. However, the one I found more interesting was on the Ontario museum - they had built a new dinosaur exhibit and wanted a really, really big dinosaur to anchor it. So the man in charge went off to another museum to see if they could borrow one of theirs ... but on the plane he was reading a story about how his museum HAD a dinosaur, a big one - the story even had the accession number. So he went back, checked it out and found out that they did, indeed, have a huge dinosaur ... but it was lost. It had been taken down, disassembled and put into storage years before ... and the bits and pieces had been moved around, so he didn't find all the bones in one space (as of the filming they were still looking). Turns out they had one of the rarest dinosaur skeletons ... and it's been named Gordo and is a major feature in the exhibit.
Was anyone going to tell me that Big Brother starts THIS Tuesday?? And then CBS is also having a five-night-a-week dating (??) show??
"You didn't see it coming but I have to tell you, in Utah, you have the majesty of the mountains, the Mormon religion, an exclusive community of people who have very successful businesses who live in their own universe," said Cohen, who serves as executive producer of the franchise. "It is gorgeous and I think you're going to be really surprised and intrigued by the group of women we've found."The group of women on the show wasn't announced, but Bravo said on Instagram the series will offer "High hopes. High altitudes. High drama."
If I laugh any harder I am going to need my inhaler.
Making It is back! (with Nick Offerman and Amy Poehler). I love this show so much!
Watching Love is Blind on Netflix.
I've been watching RuPaul's Drag Race for the first time the last few months. I am almost done with S3 - I hate this season. I hate all the girls or think they are just bad.
OK Love is Blind got so annoying that I stopped watching, but the finale is up and I am watching with lots of fast forwarding. what a mess of a show.
I've caught up with Masked Singer and Flirty Dancing today while working (neither take too much attention).
I would really like if Flirty Dancing had some of the non-selected people be the once to choose in Season 2.
Anybody else watching Big Time Bake?
