Vegas Week has enough action, they don't need to gin up drama by working these kids to the point of fatigue. And it also follows an unfortunate pattern of this show being careless with their dancers' health which dates way back to like S2 when Alison, Natalie and Donyelle were all walking wounded by the time they reached top 5.
Amen. I mean, honestly, how much more do you get done with four hours rehearsal and getting a few hours sleep, vs getting eight hours rehearsal and no sleep and hating each other and so on?? I would so be the person like "OK, let's rehearse this for two hours, take a break, do another hour, and then get some SLEEP", because you know even if you make it through you then have to dance MORE!
Off to read Kat's writing, because I love it..
I also wonder how they divide into partners and groups? People just grabbing someone? Cause it can be so terribly unfair. And I kinda hate the group stuff because it's not SYTYCChoreograph!
I just watched the first episode of HGTV Star and as soon as one guy said that his brand was "still evolving," I knew he was out! Maybe I watch too much competition reality? Nah, because I was surprised by the winner.
Once again, The Voice works its magic for the coaches -- I can't get over how likable Usher is with Michelle.
Don't you think he's likable otherwise? I think he's pretty adorable.
Michelle was fantastic, but that song Danielle did at the end was really flawless. I'd just rather that Michelle wins.
I have long been skeptical of Usher. Probably starting with when I saw him in concert (opening for Janet Jackson) and I swear he spent half of the set spelling out his own name. First and last.
Yeah, I thought it was more Fabolous who spelled his name out. Usher I just associate with saying his name funny repeatedly (Ush-uh, Ush-uh!) and suddenly I feel like I wanna bring Ludacris into this and I don't even know. Someone stop me before I have lyrics battling in my head all night!
Granted, it was a really long time ago, so he was just a kid. But enough with the U-S-H-E-R R-A-Y-M-O-N-D!
I watched the blind auditions and a few battle rounds and lost interest and watched tonight because Mom was here.
She's from Oklahoma and so totally biased for the Swon Brothers. I really liked Michelle and wasn't so impressed by the blonde girl. Her voice was pretty but it wasn't compelling. I did not like the Swon Brother's BeeGees do the Eagles rendition, It made me think of SNL and Justin Timberlake. Did like Danny's Song.
And I was surprised hearing Usher sing One with Michelle. Mostly by his voice because that's not what I think of when I think of Usher. I had to go find some songs on youtube to figure out why I don't like Usher when I really liked hearing him last night. It came down to song choice, I didn't like any of the songs I found on youtube.
I thought his voice overpowered Michelle's a little so maybe not the best song choice for the duet, but overall I liked it.
He seemed so excited and bouncy being her mentor and judge. He looked like he was having the best time singing with her.
I hope she wins.
