Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Once again, The Voice works its magic for the coaches -- I can't get over how likable Usher is with Michelle.

Because books.

Don't you think he's likable otherwise? I think he's pretty adorable.

Michelle was fantastic, but that song Danielle did at the end was really flawless. I'd just rather that Michelle wins.

I have long been skeptical of Usher. Probably starting with when I saw him in concert (opening for Janet Jackson) and I swear he spent half of the set spelling out his own name. First and last.

Oh. Ew.

Ush and Er?

Yeah, I thought it was more Fabolous who spelled his name out. Usher I just associate with saying his name funny repeatedly (Ush-uh, Ush-uh!) and suddenly I feel like I wanna bring Ludacris into this and I don't even know. Someone stop me before I have lyrics battling in my head all night!

Granted, it was a really long time ago, so he was just a kid. But enough with the U-S-H-E-R R-A-Y-M-O-N-D!

Thrive to spite them

I watched the blind auditions and a few battle rounds and lost interest and watched tonight because Mom was here.

She's from Oklahoma and so totally biased for the Swon Brothers. I really liked Michelle and wasn't so impressed by the blonde girl. Her voice was pretty but it wasn't compelling. I did not like the Swon Brother's BeeGees do the Eagles rendition, It made me think of SNL and Justin Timberlake. Did like Danny's Song.

And I was surprised hearing Usher sing One with Michelle. Mostly by his voice because that's not what I think of when I think of Usher. I had to go find some songs on youtube to figure out why I don't like Usher when I really liked hearing him last night. It came down to song choice, I didn't like any of the songs I found on youtube.

I thought his voice overpowered Michelle's a little so maybe not the best song choice for the duet, but overall I liked it.

He seemed so excited and bouncy being her mentor and judge. He looked like he was having the best time singing with her. I hope she wins.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

Usher and Michelle are the cutest thing ever together. I could watch a whole season of Usher and Michelle take on the World. I am in general an Usher fan although he lost me a little during his divorce proceedings because both he and the ex-wife got all the way out of pocket and really just why? There are kids involved and that shit lives forever on the internet. But I like him and I like his music, have done since way back in the day when he was dancing around in clown make up in the My Way video.

Michelle had the best song for me last night doing Why (great choice there by Usher) but I agree that Usher overpowered her on One and Trouble was fine but reprises never live up to the original. I wasn't impressed with Danielle's reprise or her duet with Blake but I thought the Sara Evans tune fit her like a glove and she got the pimp slot, so I'm assuming she'll win. The Swon Brothers seem like really nice guys but they were out of tune on that Eagles cover and on Celebrity, a song which I used to enjoy much more before Brad Paisley and LL decided to go all black studies on us and teach us all about why wearing a 'do rag is just as bad as flying the stars and bars over the county courthouse, and they flubbed the lyrics on the reprise of Danny's Song.

I am looking forward to seeing X-Tina perform on tonight's finale because homegirl always brings it, but I still would prefer that Shakira and Usher stay on the judges panel next year. I actually wish that either Blake or Adam would take a break and then Cee-Lo could come back. That would be acceptable.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Am I the only one who thought it was kind of icky that a 37 year old man was singing a love duet with a 16 year old girl?

According to EW, Shakira will be back the season after next, instead of Christina.
