Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

The Voice.

I have a serious serious hate-on for Josiah, ESPECIALLY after seeing Robin Thicke perform. I mean he pales in comparison to Thicke and he so wants to be him. That has to be my biggest disappointment. I want him eliminated so badly I can taste it. Anyone else I either like or don't care.

This show was made all the more suspenseful for me because I had no idea how many people they were eliminating. At first I thought it was 8, then 4, then I didn't know WTF was going on. I just got back from out of town for the weekend, that's my excuse.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Man, I loved that Robin Thicke song.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I bought it on Amazon right after it was performed.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Gordon Ramsay walks off of Kitchen Nightmares because the restaurant owners were too crazy: [link]

The owners were too crazy for Gordon Ramsay.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Tom,

Those have to be the most toxic people in the U.S. I got hives just watching that shit. Gordon Ramsay needs an award for dealing with them as long as he did. After 60 minutes, I would have bailed.

Because books.

That Buzzfeed piece is a thing of beauty.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I saw that. Those people were seriously nuts. And just basically horrible.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I am fortunately in a house that no longer has cable, because I watched a few episodes of Kitchen Nightmares, and this whole thing of restaurant owners who are convinced that Yelp is a giant conspiracy against them -- kind of a running thing.
