Umm, it was a woman named Rebecca Pannino (?) - was that who it was on Wednesday?

I didn't have the same negative reaction to the show that bonbon did. I mean, I disliked what I disliked but I thought that moral of the session at Catherine Malandrino was that even the most amazing dresses can be wrong for your particular body -- i.e., that you always have to try lots of stuff on until you know what works for you.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I don't think it was, from what I understand. But I remember one more annoying thing, in addition to the ring-- the cancer mom mawkishness. I mean, the "surgery" mom mawkishness. "She can't make it...she made it!" @@

ETA: I don't disagree that they were trying to express that-- but what a lame premise! Tim's whole role last night was passing judgment on the dresses Rebecca tried on. At the end of the show, what did we learn? If you have hips, wear more dresses.

Yeah, that bugged too. If she could get there for the end -- how sad that she didn't get the whole experience.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I guess tonight's episode is different from the one they showed last night?

Yes, which I'm glad of. Last night's preview was 10 or 15 minutes. It would have made the show really boring if they'd shown it this week. That episode will probably be in a week or two. It was a good teaser, about the 40 year old slutty dressing mom.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I missed the intro to the Tim Gunn show after Top Chef, but I caught the full episode last night.

The ring part was kind of creepy.

I liked her clothes. I thought the make-up was very boring. And what the fuck was up with, "red is the enemy", wrt hair?

There wasn't enough Tim Gunn, and I really didn't like Veronica Web.

What I know about John Barrett: first he was the guru of blonde and now he's taken on brunette. Perhaps red will only be the enemy until he decides to take it on?

yes, I agree. I hated that part. And if I were the guy, I wouldn't have liked it.

Maybe the husband said something about regretting not having been able to get her a better ring, but I think it would have been nicer if they had taken him to a store and let him pick out a ring for his wife. Although, the ring was from an internet company, right?

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

The episode I saw after Top Chef was a full episode about the slutty mom. Missed the ring receiver episode though.

Yes, the ring was from ice.com - but they could have let him shop for it online if they had to use a sponsor.

I just didn't like that. . . it felt wrong.
