What I know about John Barrett: first he was the guru of blonde and now he's taken on brunette. Perhaps red will only be the enemy until he decides to take it on?

Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
The ring part was kind of creepy.
yes, I agree. I hated that part. And if I were the guy, I wouldn't have liked it.
Maybe the husband said something about regretting not having been able to get her a better ring, but I think it would have been nicer if they had taken him to a store and let him pick out a ring for his wife. Although, the ring was from an internet company, right?
The episode I saw after Top Chef was a full episode about the slutty mom. Missed the ring receiver episode though.
Yes, the ring was from ice.com - but they could have let him shop for it online if they had to use a sponsor.
I just didn't like that. . . it felt wrong.

I don't think it was a full episode, did we see the reveal?
Saw 60 minutes worth of show...from her hanging by the pool with a friend to her showing off for her family....with all the angst in between.
I love that Tim Gunn freaked out when Veronica Webb suggested leggings.
Yes, that was funny. (And that outfit was heinous.)
And what the fuck was up with, "red is the enemy", wrt hair?
I think he just meant for her. It's become such a popular dye choice, but if you have cool coloring it's not the most flattering.
A stylist in Paris tried to explain this to me ages ago when I first wanted to cover my greys. But, I had always wanted my mother's auburn hair, so that's what I chose. When I finally did color analysis last year and switched to ash brown, it looked so much better.
