Project Runway -- or actually Ven specifically -- is making me furious tonight. How can he not know that the majority of women are NOT shaped like a runway model?

Because he's an asshole. This always happens when there are non-size 2 models. Some designers spend all of their time shitting on their client. Ven took it a step further by making her feel bad about it and constantly harping on how accessories were too small, etc. He knows what her waist size is, he could have measured beforehand and found some accessories that worked with her body. Or here's an idea, you're a fucking designer, DESIGN SOMETHING.

Right? I mean, I never thought he had much personality before, even if he had talent, and now I just want him to go home.

Why do these people think all the wealthy clients they want to have are going to be size 2, also? Because they're not, either.

Yay Heidi for calling Ven out on his bullshit about "real" women. Yes Ven, we realize that in your mind real=fat.

And what I love most is that he's not exactly a toothpick himself. But does it matter if you're a man? Not so much. Feh.

I actually stopped liking Sweet P because of the plus sized challenge. It's bad enough that a male designer days crap like that, but when a woman, especially a "regular sized" woman shits on her client for size, that is highly hypocritical.

I'm sorry that Nathan was out. I think that they should have taken into consideration that his client had questionable taste. Is the point of the challenge to make a dress that the client likes, or the judges like?

Yeah, I liked Nathan. And I was cringing by the end of his critique because I think his client really *liked* her dress, for the most part.

Not really - there's always one or two designers who have clients with no fashion sense and wind up making ugly clothes for them. The point is you're supposed to design something the client doesn't even know they want.

I'm with Vortex. Sweet P pissed me off too. I almost would rather they don't have a "regular women's" challenge because I end up hating people I previously had no opinion of or liked.

I would buy the winning dress in a heartbeat. Exactly the kind of dress I love. But maybe ... two inches shorter.

Aside from Gunnar's, which at least had the ruffly detail, Fabio's at least looked original and interesting. Dmitry's was great, but one more solid-colored dress is another yawn in some ways.
