Yeah, SYTYCD has actually been better than most reality shows with the girl winners. I don't like the idea of having a girl winner and a boy winner. The show doesn't need it.
Despite all my bitching, I think America has gotten it shockingly right with the winners on SYTYCD. The only season I really vehemently disagree with is the season that Sabra beat out Danny because . . . freaking Danny Tidwell! And even then, it's not like Sabra wasn't a good little dancer. Danny was just unreal.
Sigh. I wonder why they are really doing this given that they've had a pretty good gender balance on the show in terms of winners. Maybe Nigel is pissed that the last, what, three winners in a row have been girls?
Yeah, I'm bristling at the format change, but I suspect I'd bristle regardless. So I guess we'll just see how it shakes down. I just hope they've gotten the safety stuff sorted out this season. I still haven't forgiven them for breaking Alex Wong. Who I gather is doing just fine, but still.
Nigel is an ass just on GP anyway.
Um, Mary Murphy is a red hot trainwreck.

Mary Murphy is a hot mess?!? Let me fall down and die with not surprise.
Yeah, that was pretty obvious on simple visual inspection.
I never would have suspected any of that, but I know nothing about her. I never particularly liked her shrieking, but coke and sex scandals? I had no clue.
I'm a bit fascinated by the "gave extra coaching to contestants part". I mean, (a) would that actually HELP, if she's a crazed coked-up sex fiend? and (b) WHO!?!?!
If she is a crazed coked up sex fiend, maybe it is "extra help". And then I really want to know who it is!
