Yeah, that was pretty obvious on simple visual inspection.
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
I never would have suspected any of that, but I know nothing about her. I never particularly liked her shrieking, but coke and sex scandals? I had no clue.
I'm a bit fascinated by the "gave extra coaching to contestants part". I mean, (a) would that actually HELP, if she's a crazed coked-up sex fiend? and (b) WHO!?!?!
If she is a crazed coked up sex fiend, maybe it is "extra help". And then I really want to know who it is!
Wouldn't it only have been valuable to ballroom dancers, though? How many of them have made the top ten? (I've only watched the show for the last few seasons, so I have no idea.)
She did an exhibition-style dance with Dmitri, once...
And I am pretty sure *we* have joked about her drinking during the show sometimes.
Well, she usually seems toasted, but after years of watching Paula on American Idol, maybe I just ignored it.
Oddly, I did think that last season, after the one season off, she seemed very slightly more subdued. Guess I was wrong.
Well, she could've been helping anyone who was doing a ballroom number that week, in theory. Which was many people...
So I just posted about this on FB, but seriously -- if you're ashamed to love Storage Wars, check out Market Warriors on PBS this summer. It has voiceover from Fred Willard!
So you all believe the Murphy allegations? Sounds OTT to me. Also, this pair of paragraphs is hilarious:
"Mary is the ultimate 'victim.' Whenever something goes wrong, even if it's her fault, she will blame someone else. She never takes credit for the disastrous choices she makes,” says a source close to Michael.
Michael’s attorney Steven P. Krakowsky gave the following statement to RadarOnline.com: "Michael built and fiercely protected Ms. Murphy's brand. Like anyone who works hard, he deserves to be fully and fairly compensated for his efforts."
I wonder who their close source is!
