"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

and it was even funnier when Sean corrected Sara

I have pretty much gotten to the point that I stop listening as soon as she starts gushing. "I feel as though I've gone on the journey with you. / You were very emotional up there. / My notes say you're all very good looking people." Ben and Shawn are awesome at giving concrit, but Sara seems pretty useless. I don't care if she sang a capella in college.

I expected Delilah to get eliminated over North Shore, because North Shore has been pretty consistently solid and entertaining, whereas Delilah, other than their first number (Grenade), has been really shaky. Although I did have doubts when there was that video when the guys said they didn't know any modern music, and didn't even know who Bruno Mars was... and I was wondering how they'd manage a show that relies so heavily on modern/pop music. They handled The Lazy Song really well, but I doubt they would have made it through next week's hip hop as easily.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Okay, I finished the show. I liked Footloose too!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Now I wonder if they let North Shore go only so they didn't have to do hip hop week? Because that would not have been pretty.

I have pretty much gotten to the point that I stop listening as soon as she starts gushing.

I think she's gotten a lot better at giving actual notes as the season has gone on.

Jesse,

I think she's gotten a lot better at giving actual notes as the season has gone on.

Overall, I agree with you, but she is uneven. She still needs to get a lot better IMO.

Oh, and my favorite moment was when Ben started saying he wasn't an expert in the style of music (after Poison?) and Shawn FELL OUT.

Because books.

Sara's still miles better than Nicole whatsherface, imo.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Sean and Ben are definitely the best. Sean gives good feedback, but with an emotional resonance that really speaks to the skill of the singers. Ben is all about the solid criticism. Sarah sometimes has legitimate comments, but likes to gush. I think that you need some of that, though. she hasn't gotten to the point where it's annoying for me, but she could tip the scales if she's not careful.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

But you can always tell when the judges are not thrilled with a performance. Last night was pretty rough--there were only a few songs that really stood out as solid, the rest of them had wobbly bits or just didn't make it to "good".
