Because books.

Will do, megan. And thank you! Insent to your Gmail address, by the way.

I wish I could figure out how to get stuff off my DVR.

Oh, I would love a copy of the DVD. I have been HOOKED on Ovations reruns of Season 6.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Me too!

I don't think I properly appreciated Russell's costume from the Bollywood number the first time, so I am very glad I got to see it again.

I am also looking forward to the Ovation extras for S7, even though I didn't love the season as a whole.

I would love DVDs of any of those! I had used some program to download from YouTube some of my favorites from Season 2 and 3, but forget how I did it and haven't done the other seasons. I have them on my iphone.

I wish I could figure out how to get stuff off my DVR.

Yeah, it is annoying that I have to program mine like a vcr, but I love that I can edit within a program at will with one or two clicks, and then easily put episodes together in playlists and record back and forth from the hard drive to DVD. So the dances are back-to-back and take about an hour.

I don't think I can improve the quality by recording at a higher level at this point, so let me know if you want me to add anything to fill the other 5 hours on the DVD.

Options include:
BBC Macbeth (2h30)
BBC Sherlock 1-3 (4 hours)
BBC Any Human Heart 1-3 (4 hours)
BBC Upstairs, Downstairs redux 1-3 (2h30)
The Royal Wedding (1h30)

Are you seeing a theme? Really I record non-British things sometimes.

Okay, not really. Or, at least, I don't save them.

I have a few operas (The Met's "Nixon in China" at 3 hours and "Lucia di Lammermoor" at 2h30). Also, a whole bunch of "No Reservations" that I haven't added to DVD yet, including the Western North America epsiodes, Eurasia, Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Oceania.

Just let me know. It's easy and quick to do.

No, but your Anglophilia reminds me I want to watch Downton Abbey, which I didn't do when it was on.

My old TiVo recorded DVDs, but if it was possible to just do portions of episodes, I never figured out how.

Sadly, I do not get Ovations.

Okay, I'm planning CDs for Amy, Perkins, Suzi, and Meara so far.

No, but your Anglophilia reminds me I want to watch Downton Abbey, which I didn't do when it was on.

I also have all 4 episodes of Downtown Abbey if you want that separately. It's 5h20 minutes so it's pretty much its own DVD.

My old TiVo recorded DVDs, but if it was possible to just do portions of episodes, I never figured out how.

Omnis sent me this when I moved because he was upgrading to HD and I needed a dvr. But now I hope it never dies because I don't think new ones do everything this one does.

Basically, I can put it into edit mode while watching a show and just press "start" at the beginning of a cut and "end" at the end and then cut out whatever I want.

Like with old vcrs, I can record on higher quality but then only 2hrs fit on a DVD. And I'd have a lot less room on the dvr.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

So I just caught up on the first two episodes of this season's Top Shot and I must say I am pissed but unsurprised that they kicked off the two women in the first two eps. Oh well.

Man, some of those dancers really were just superb, weren't they? All my criticisms of the show aside, they really do produce/encourage/get to some excellent talent there.

Ooh! Yes please. And I should be in your city in October, or possibly sooner.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Do you all think Ashleigh and Ryan would have made it into the finale if she hadn't gotten hurt (and he hadn't been so cute about people voting for her)?
