Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I just confirmed an interview request with a radio talk show in Chicago, but I think it's national and at least available on the net.

Cool. What station/program?

Holy shit. Vinokourov tested positive for blood-doping, and his team has pulled out of the Tour.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Just a few, Tom. I'm going to sign one for the Browncoats giveaway thing, and I promised the publisher I'd drop a copy by a booth where people they know will be.

I'm doing my reading at 3 on Sunday.

The fact that riders who know they'll be tested after winning a stage are still doping? Yeah. Plus, given that Vino will get a two-year ban, and he's something like 33, this will probably end his career.

Lindsey Lohan, I was not so surprised.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I'm confused. It seems to be related to a blood transfusion?

It said two distinctive types of red blood cells were found in the A sample and showed that Vinokourov received a blood transfusion from a compatible donor shortly before the time trial.

What's the issue?

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Blood doping is the practice of illicitly boosting the number of red blood cells (RBCs) in the circulation in order to enhance athletic performance. Because they carry oxygen from the lungs to the muscles, more RBCs in the blood can improve an athlete’s aerobic capacity and stamina.
