I had a great meal last Friday. Yuca gnocchi with a green lamb ragout and shaved parmesan cheese. It's this place in the North End called Taranta that does Italian with a strong Peruvian accent. Absolutely teh yum. The lamb ragout had just a little kick to it.
I also had some mini-calzones there that were more like empendas, but those weren't as good as the pasta (they were three different fillings, and only one leek, potato and cheese one was really special).
Seared tuna at Daddy Jacks last Tuesday. Black on the outside and buttery inside. Yum.
My stepdad sent me scans of old ads. My 3 favorites.
Might as well...
Lard!
Just...no.
Just...no.
But they're
sanitized,
Dasiy!
But they're sanitized, Dasiy!
And they apparently work quite well, from the stories.
Many are finding welcome relief through the gentle vibration
Well, who wouldn't?
edit: Pity it looks so much like a power drill. And it doesn't really look like it's designed to be used by oneself, does it? Something you'd need someone to help you with.
I'm getting out of work in 40 minutes, yay! I'm taking a half-day to go mattress shopping. In chatting with the receptionist, she mentioned a furniture store in Gurnee that's closing (is anyone familiar with Leath Furniture? Apparently, the entire chain is going out of business), so I thought I'd test-drive a few mattresses closer to home, and then head up there tomorrow afternoon and see if they have a better deal.
Thanks for those who helped me research mattresses waaaay upthread--I used those links to focus my search.
I've seen the Leath Furniture ads - but that's as much as I know about it.
Hey, REG and Paul McGann are being united in a TV series (British) I hope it finds it's way over to this side of the Atlantic.
