megan, thanks. It's been 16 years since I was fluent (ok, maybe not fluent, but I dreamt in french and could carry on a spontaneous, if simple, conversation. Hey, why'd you move! I'd love to get my french back!) I'm all about the phonetics when I can remember it now.n Hell, any and all grammar I learned was started with french.
I loved the plucking song. Perhaps because I'm demented, but it was so enthusiastic!
Laura, this is what I am saying. Who can resist cupcake-themed shoes? Especially ones that are cheaper than two actual cupcakes?
( the other french song I recall imperfectly is Une flambeaue, Jeanette, Isabella...which ....I've no idea what that's about.)
in my head I've been saying something like "lonny danse," so I'm glad to see that's close.
Actually, now that you mention it, it's l'on y danse, l'on y danse. So, yeah, lonny danse would be right.
Woo hoo! I rule at half-remembered French!
sara, "Bring the torch, Jeanette Isabella"?
you sound just like you - you just have a new subject- babies
Beth, I just sometimes wish there were more to my life. I mean now it's like breast pump, hospital visit, hold baby, eat, breast pump, sleep.
I ditched teaching tonight because we're going to be on the news and I decided my time could better be spent doing laundry in preparation for an ER trip.
And no, Kat, not the nice one.
cute shoes.
Do you think if I texted Matt about my need for cupcakes he would find a way to make them appear? even though it would be majorly inconvenient? Actually, he might, so I'll be good.
the other french song I recall imperfectly is Une flambeaue, Jeanette, Isabella...which ....I've no idea what that's about.
It's a Christmas carol.
Un flambeau, Jeannette, Isabelle, ... Le Christ est né, Marie appelle.
That's all I can remember offhand.
I have a number of classic French songs (albeit in an annoying version) on iTunes if anyone's interested.
