Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

JZ, you should collect all those people and ask them to form a line outside my apartment so I can punch them in the face.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

JZ, you should collect all those people and ask them to form a line outside my apartment so I can punch them in the face.

If I want to sit down and watch, will there be comfy chairs and popcorn?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I paid FULL PRICE for it in the airport yesterday. We were on a layover, so I grabbed it. I was going to wait until I got home, but I finished my other book. I was going to grab a magazine or something, but there it was! My students were jealous. It is now sitting in my car, teasing me. I was going to bring it in to "read at lunch", but I know damn well that even if I had managed to last until lunch time, I would have read it for the rest of the afternoon. I had too much work to do to blow off the entire afternoon :)

Why does LJ hate me? Hopefully the answer is somewehre in the last few messages, which I am about to read.

TJMaxx, however, loves me, and I got a suit ($100) that makes me look damn skinny, AND a pair of navy blue leather Oscar de la Renta slingbacks for $15! Sweet!! Plus, navy means no need to wear the caramel/camel shoes. :)

I am happy to report that after 6+ months of unemployment, my DH has been offered a job in the subject matter he was hoping for

Woohooo! Go DH!!

What part of "Rent is due on the first. If not paid by the fifth, you will be assessed a late charge." do you not understand?

He expects an invoice? For rent? that's just weird.

t edit to add: Vortex, I did the exact same thing with Book #6, bought it at BWI

That can be arranged.

Aw, damn, someone just mentioned that in the HP thread. I need a YouTube link!

I found a video on ComedyCentral.com, but it had no video. I got the gist, though. Hee.

Thrive to spite them

I was in Borders to pick up a magazine and there was a kid trying to get his Mom to buy the book "Look! It's 40% off!" the mom was "where's the paperback? I'll buy a paperback. Shouldn't there be a paperback like this ?"

I was poked my nose in and explained that paperbacks come out awhile after hardcovers. "It's so expensive!" "Mom! It's 40% off!" was the discussion when I left.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I paid full price, but the part of that went to our local volunteer education foundation. They also had folks at the release party collecting any added donations for the foundation.

I'm ok with that.
