Ay. There are too many people in hospitals right now.
Anne, I hope your step-father will be fine, and that your mother isn't incarcerated on attempted homicide charges when all is said and done. Many hugs to you, and healing~ma to him.
{{{Laura and Brendon}}} Bob is very, very lucky to have friends like you. Good thoughts and lots of ~ma are headed southward. The clue-by-four for the doc will arrive tomorrow morning via FedEx.
Drew and Kristin, I'm sorry you have to do this. His mom and dad are so very lucky to have the both of you to help. Peace and strength to you both.
What the F did I do at work today? I've been busy all day, but now that I'm doing my timesheet, I'm two hours short for today. WTF.
{{{bitches}}}
ND & Kristin, I had no idea your situation had gotten so intense and Just.Damn.Hard. I'm sorry if I accidentally sent up your hackles when you've already got more than enough to deal with. You have nothing but best wishes from me.
No worries. Like I said, I meant my post to be explanatory about why we weren't around, not rude. Obviously stress and frustration makes a poor filter. I haven't talked much about the situation with ND's mom because I didn't feel it was my place, and ND, I think, has been way too drained to even consider writing about it.
I do hope very much that we will have a chance to spend some San Diego time doing things other than healthcare at some point. Let's take a taquitos raincheck.
Vote for taquitos!

ION, I'm a complete dumbass sometimes. I have cough varient asthma and as such, can sometimes have coughing fits for no apparent reason. Last night, I was hacking up a lung and was hacking up pink stuff. I freaked thinking I was coughing up blood. Then I remembered I had just eaten a red velvet cupcake.

ChiKat, how goes the job search? I know you were having a tough time deciding which one would be best.
Mmm taquitos. I wish I had that instead of the Lean Cuisine Swedish Meatballs I'm currently eating...
ChiKat, how goes the job search?
For those playing at home, the job hunt has successfully concluded!
I had an interview with job #4 this morning and got wiggly ickies about it. While the job itself would be terrific, working conditions are severely less than ideal.
I made a spreadsheet of pros and cons of each, talked it out with some friends and I ended up taking my 1st choice and will start on Aug. 20th! I'll be teaching drama in a middle school. 2 classes each of 6th grade, 7th grade and 8th grade.
Robin, I believe you taught that before, yes? If so, I'd love some ideas and words of wisdom.
I'm very excited and think it'll be a great fit for me.
Woo for decision-making!
ChiKat, wish I could have seen you again when I was in Chicago! Too bad you were busy.
I missed you, too! I was in class. Boo. I'd have much rather hung out with you and eaten pizza.
